Erica Runkle, DVM

Dr. Erica Runkle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and biology and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, both from Colorado State University. She completed externships at Riverside Zoo in Nebraska and at the University of Florida Wildlife and Zoological Medicine Department. After graduating from veterinary school in 1998, she moved to Georgia and worked in small animal hospitals, continuing to develop her special interest in exotic animal medicine.

Outside of working as a veterinarian, Dr. Runkle enjoys hiking, gardening, remodeling her house, and traveling. She has two dogs (Tilly and Henry), three cats (Jack, Pandora, and Oliver), and four birds.
